Our last Pro FC Camp at The University of Northampton, Pro FC player David Says won the opportunity to watch a Premier League match and take part in a scouting session with Scout7 – professional football’s global leader in the provision of scouting and recruitment.
David went to White Hart Lane with Scout7′s Kevin Russell on Sunday 30th October to watch Tottenham beat QPR 3-1.
David was given this opportunity by his manager Mark Stimson (Kettering Town FC Manager) because of the way he showed great understanding and knowledge of the game and felt one of his strengths would be in analysing game situations and providing important information on the opponents.
Kevin Russell spoke very highly of David and he came across in a professional manner and hopefully he will see himself scouting another game in the near future. This is just the beginning for David’s football career and this gave him a clear insight into how football clubs prepare for upcoming opponents and different avenues you can go down within the football industry. This is what David had to say about the scouting experience:
“I’d like to say a big thank you to Scout7 football solutions, Pro FC and Mark Stimson for giving me this opportunity. It was a spectacular evening of football and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game from the scouting perspective provided by Kevin Russell.
Scouting is more challenging than most people realise and the level of detail that goes into making a report is very high. My task throughout the game was to analyse three key strengths and three weaknesses of Tottenham Hotspur. I was very fortunate to be able to discuss these factors at the luxurious Legends bar and my analysis was made easier by the wonderful seats in a very central position at White Hart Lane.
My observations were well received and I’m very pleased my input was accurate and included in the formal report. In addition I made a follow up analysis after the game to give Scout7 my own unique perspective and style on proceedings. I hope to be working again for Scout7 in the near future. Many thanks from David Says”
The players at our camps experience so much more than just playing football – through presentations from across the football world they get to see how the game works from the inside.
